Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for a simple service. Using afasttest.com means you agree to these.
1. The service
afasttest.com provides a free, browser-based tool that estimates the performance of your internet connection (speed, latency and related metrics) together with educational content about internet performance. The service is provided free of charge and may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time.
2. Measurement results are estimates
Test results depend on many factors outside our control — your device, Wi-Fi, VPNs, other traffic on your line, network congestion and the path to the measurement servers. Results are provided for general information only.
We make no guarantee that results reflect the exact service your internet provider delivers, and results are not certified evidence for contractual or legal disputes. They are, in our experience, very useful in conversations with your provider — but they remain estimates.
3. Acceptable use
Normal personal and business use — including repeated testing of your own connections — is welcome. You agree not to abuse the service: no automated high-volume testing, no attempts to disrupt or overload the site or the measurement infrastructure, and no use that violates applicable law.
Measurement traffic flows over Cloudflare’s network and is additionally subject to Cloudflare’s own terms.
4. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text and name belong to the operator of afasttest.com. You may quote our guides with attribution and a link. Your test results are yours.
5. Third-party services
Measurements are performed against endpoints operated by Cloudflare, Inc. We do not control and cannot guarantee the availability or behavior of third-party infrastructure.
6. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of afasttest.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from use of the service or reliance on its results — including decisions made based on test results.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date above reflects the latest revision; continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
